David Love, 54, of Mount Ayr, formerly of Afton, died Wednesday, March 15, 2023, as the result of an automobile accident in Ringgold County. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 24, at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Pastor Tim Maxa will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Afton. Open visitation will be 2-7 p.m. with family receiving friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 23 at the funeral home.

David Love was born Sept. 14, 1968, to Lucinda Kay (Clayton) and Riley Patrick Love in Creston. He lived in Creston and Mount Ayr growing up and graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1986. He went on to continue his education at Southwestern Community College in the carpentry program.
David spent most of his life living in the Mount Ayr, Afton and Creston areas, where he worked a variety of different jobs in construction trades for 30 plus years, owning and operating his own business, which became known as Love Heating and Air Conditioning.
Survivors include his sweetheart Jessie Fleurent, love of his life, of Mount Ayr; daughter Marriah Love (Zach Dean) of Fontanelle; two sons, Tyler (Alyssa) Love of Afton and Caleb (Bailey Lukavsky) Comstock of Afton; his brother, Joe Love (Christy Jaeschke) of Redding; sisters, Tammy Love of Donnellson and Angel Love of Van Meter; five grandchildren: Addison Benge, Aubriana Benge, Sebastian Love, Kynslee Love and Kalvin Benge; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and a great-nephew.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Justin Love in 2009 and two nephews, Thomas and Taylor Ruble.
