Louise Fleming, 70, of Creston, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, at Creston Specialty Care in Creston. A graveside Christian burial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Calvary Cemetery in Corning. Fr. Patrick Amedaka will officiate. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be from noon - 2 p.m. Saturday, at A & G Restaurant in Creston. Powers Funeral Home in Creston is in charge of arrangements.

Louise Mae Fleming was born Feb. 7, 1953, the daughter of Robert H. and Betty J. (Walton) Fleming in Corning. She graduated from Creston High School in 1971. She went on to study at St. Mary’s College of Nursing in Omaha, Nebraska. Early on, Louise worked at the Ingersoll Rand in Omaha. She later co-owned a parts store in Omaha for several years. Moving to Louisville, Colorado, in 1991, Louise began working for the Xcel Energy of Denver, where she continued until retiring in January 2018, due to a stroke.
She then moved to the Creston Specialty Care in Creston. Louise loved animals, especially dogs and cats. She volunteered at the Animal Rescue of Denver. She was also very active in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 111.
Survivors include her three sisters: Mary Fleming and Gerilyn Fleming, both of Creston and Barb (Joe) Feld of Robins; many cousins, seven nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Robert and Patrick Fleming in 2022.
