David P. Storer, 64, of Creston, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, at Greater Regional Health Center in Creston. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Pastor Mary O’Riley will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Blockton. Visitation with family receiving friends will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

David Storer was born April 14, 1958, the son of Robert W. and Louise (Shepherd) Storer in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He graduated from Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania.
On Aug. 6, 2000, David married K. LeAnn Keenan in Michigan. David was a writer - writing numerous pieces and enjoying literature of all kinds. They moved to Harlan in 2010, where he worked and wrote in several capacities.
In 2017, they moved to the Creston area. LeAnn died in 2018. David soon moved to Homestead Assisted Living facility in Creston, where he lived the next four plus years.
Survivors include his brother Robert (Amy) Storer of Pennsylvania; five nieces and two great nieces; sisters-in-law, Cheri May of Waukee and Lynn Baker of Creston; numerous other cousins and extended family.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his wife LeAnn.
