Patricia Ellen Taylor was born July 16, 1940, daughter of John and Bessie (Kuster) Mitchell in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She graduated in 1958 from Menlo High School in Menlo. On Jan. 31, 1959, Patricia was united in marriage to Charlie Taylor in Stuart. Pat and Charlie moved to Creston where Pat was an active mother and homemaker. Pat was the proud mother of five children: Chuck, Craig, Curtis, Christopher (Bud) and Crystal.

In 1977, Pat started her career as a district secretary for the Department of Natural Resources at Green Valley State Park until she retired in 2013.

Pat’s hobbies included cooking and baking, spending time in her flower gardens, attending sport activities and riding motorcycles with her husband, Charlie. Together, Pat and Charlie enjoyed riding their Harley and traveling alongside their dear friends. They met many new friends during their adventures while traveling to all the states including Canada and Mexico. Attending the Sturgis motorcycle rally for over 30 years was the highlight of their summers. But most importantly, Pat dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She spent most of her time attending all their activities and being their biggest cheerleader.
