Joseph C. Cosenza

Joseph “Joe” Cosenza, 30, of Indianola, formerly of Creston, passed away Oct. 11, 2022, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A Celebration of life memorial visitation, with family receiving friends, will be from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Powers Funeral Home, 601 New York Avenue in Creston.

Joe was born July 4, 1992, to Catherine Joan Adams in Long Branch, New Jersey. Joe was a curious child who was loving and kind. As a teenager and adult Joe remained curious, always wanting to learn and try new things. Joe was passionate about photography, cooking, exploring new places, nature and animals. Most importantly, Joe was infinitely passionate about being accepting and loving to all people.

Joe is survived by his siblings: Joelle Russo-Voth, her husband, Derek Voth and their two children, Brooklyn and Jocelyn; Michael Russo, his wife Mandy, and their four children: Devin, Hannah, Hannah Rose and Casen; Danielle Da Cruz Becerra, her husband, Carlos Becerra and their four children: Isabella, Mosa, Ian and Carlos; Christopher Cosenza and his son, Rider and his baby sister, Cassandra Cosenza. Joe is also survived by his partner, James Stanley.

Joe will remain a beloved son, brother, uncle, partner and friend. The world will truly be less.
