Robert Vicker, 92, of Creston, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, at Crest Haven Care Centre in Creston. Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at Powers Funeral Home in Creston, with family receiving friends from 10 - 11 a.m. Casual dress is requested by the family. Private family burial will be in Bohemian National Cemetery near Williamson at a later date.

Robert Lewis Vicker was born Dec. 7, 1929, the son of Joseph Edward and Edna Louise (Mudra) Vicker in Adams County, Iowa. Robert attended Nevinville High School where he graduated with the class of 1948. A few years later he served his country as a part of the United States Army from 1951-1952.
In 1953 Robert was united in marriage to Nancy Young in Creston. After marrying, they settled in Creston where he lived for the rest of his life. Robert and Nancy later divorced. For 10 years, Robert worked at Vanmark. After that, Robert farmed full time until his retirement. On Aug. 18, 1991, Robert married Vicki Jo (Brewer) in Creston.
Robert is survived by his wife, Vicki of Inverness, Florida; his children: Pam Van Fossen of Centerville, Randy (Anne) Vicker of Creston and Mark (Angie) Vicker of Creston; a step-daughter, Staci (Chad) Wilker of Creston; a sister, Dorothy Herr of Fontanelle; daughter-in-law, Mary Vicker of Osceola; 10 grandchildren: Dennis (Carla) Tripp, Denise (Shane) Morgan, Sandy Tripp (Amber Barber), Carrie (Jared) Seddon, Sarah (Mark) Miller, Clint (Amber) Vicker, Scott Vicker, Nathan Vicker (Faith Baker) and Brian (Kali) Vicker; two step-grandchildren, Darren (Jessica) Wilker and Megan Wilker and 23 great-grandchildren.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jimmy Vicker; a grandson, Ben Tripp; great-granddaughter, Paisley Morgan and two brothers, Ralph and Richard Vicker.
