Danny Abbott, 70, of Martensdale, passed away from esophageal cancer peacefully in the early morning hours of July 5, 2022, surrounded by his family.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 - 7 p.m. Monday, July 11. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 12. Both events will take place at The Wright Place, 340 West Wright Road, in Norwalk. Burial will take place immediately following the service in Linn Grove Cemetery with a lunch to follow.
Danny Abbott was born to Dan Charles and Silva Fern (Petersen) Abbott in Guymon, Oklahoma. He attended school in Creston. Danny married Nancy West in 1973 and they made their home in Martensdale. Danny was a proud laborer with Local Union 177 and just received his 50-year pin.
Danny will be lovingly remembered by his daughters: Jessica (Jason) Abbott-Bender of Martensdale and Danielle (Luke) Abbott-Klages of Indianola; grandchildren: Justin Bender, Jacob Bender, Kayleigh Klages and Lane Klages.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Nancy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Danny’s name to the Pink Tractor Foundation, 3845 G50 Highway, St. Charles, IA 50240.
