Glenn LeRoy Trimble, 95, of Mount Ayr, Iowa, passed away June 26, 2022, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr. Open visitation will be held from 2 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, with funeral services held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 30 at United Baptist Presbyterian Church, west of Mount Ayr. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

LeRoy was born May 26, 1927, the son of Harry Glenn and Lois Pearl (Buck) Trimble at home in Ringgold County, Iowa.
LeRoy attended and graduated from Kellerton High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Following his honorable discharge from the military, LeRoy was united in marriage to Betty Jean Allen, better known as Butch, June 6, 1954. LeRoy and Butch farmed south of Kellerton for many years before retiring and moving into Mount Ayr in fall of 1999.
LeRoy loved music. He loved to dance. The American Legion and Chicken Inn were a couple of his favorite spots. He sang with a quartet and would sometimes sing solo and Butch accompanied him on piano. He loved his fast cars, motorcycles and golfing to name a few. He won several golfing awards. LeRoy had a strong faith and enjoyed attending and supporting area churches. He will be remembered for his hard work ethic, optimistic attitude and smile.
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Betty Jean “Butch” Trimble of Mount Ayr; nieces and nephews Richard (Linda) Stephens of Rock Port, Missouri, Dennis (Donna) Stephens of Mount Ayr, Iowa, Susan Stephens of Leavenworth, Kansas, Sandra Stephens of Lawrence, Kansas, and Carol Ann (Ed) Larsen of Sarasota, Florida; several great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and their husbands: Mary (Lloyd) Stephens and Doris (Paul) Hannon; sister-in-law Nadine (Hallie) Myers and nephew Gordon Myers.
