James Joseph Haag was born March 29, 1959, in Winterset, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Donna (Wilkie) Haag. He was a farmhand for friends and family for most of his adult life in the Orient area where he lived. Later, he worked at Walmart in Creston before retiring a few years ago. Jim was a proud member of the Orient Lion’s Club for many years.

James enjoyed driving his 4-wheeler around his brother-in-law’s (Steve Lantz) farm, going to the Iowa State Fair and eating lunch with friends.

James was always very appreciative of all of his friends and any kindness shown to him. A recent reception for him arranged by Cindy Woods at the Orient Methodist Church meant a lot to him. He also appreciated so much the kindness and care he received from his home care and hospice employees.

James was preceded in death by his parents.

James is survived by two sisters, Judy Richman of Lewisville, Texas, and Julie Haag of Creston; two nieces, JoDee Lantz and Sara Beth Shak; two nephews, Adam Lantz and Chase Richman; other relatives and friends.
