Deborah Turner, 69, of Creston, died June 18, 2022, at Creston Specialty Care in Creston. A time of sharing will follow visitation at 7 p.m. Monday, June 27 at Powers Funeral Home, 601 New York Avenue, Creston. Rev. Jim Morris will officiate. Open memorial visitation will be Monday, 3 to 7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home in Creston with the family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sigourney, Iowa, at 11 a.m. June 28.

Deborah Jean Turner was born March 7. 1953, daughter of Donald John and Edith Alberta (Kritenbrink) Selim, in Creston, Iowa. She graduated from Creston Community High School in 1971 and continued her education attending SWCC.
Debbie was united in marriage to Dan Gordon Turner at First United Methodist Church in Creston on Oct. 6, 1979. They settled in Creston, and Debbie worked as a medical secretary and later as a medical transcriptionist for Greater Regional Medical Center for many years. She worked for various companies doing medical transcribing until her retirement in 2013.
Debbie was a member of the Creston Chapter of the Business Professional Women where she held several different positions on the board of directors. She enjoyed traveling to see family and friends across the world, particularly to Greece and Russia and other places. She also loved to read, play piano and sing.
Debbie is survived by her husband Daniel Turner of Creston and many other cousins and extended family.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, uncles and many other family.
