Keith Allen Clark, son of Jack Clark and Elverta G. (Dorsett) Clark, was born on Aug. 11, 1950, in Creston. Keith received his education in Ellston and Mount Ayr, Iowa.
Keith was united in marriage to Peggy Smith in 1969. To this union one daughter was born, Michelle. They later divorced. Keith was united in marriage to Jill Marie Mullin on Feb. 14, 2003, in Afton, Iowa, and he became a step-father to Dusty and Lacy. Keith was a very hard working man; he spent many years working road construction before having a 37 year career at Fansteel Wellman Dynamics as a molder. Keith retired from Wellman in 2012.
Keith loved to hunt. He spent numerous hours through the years hunting with his brothers and friends. They were always very successful and he loved sharing his hunting stories and stories of all the mischief he and his brothers could get themselves into. One of his fondest memories was the trip he took to Canada with his brother Dale to go bear hunting.
Keith was a very big Elvis fan his whole life. He shared that love with several different family members making numerous trips to Memphis to Graceland.
Over the years Keith spent many vacations traveling to Oklahoma to visit many family members there.
Keith’s favorite pastime was buying and selling - especially cars and guns. He loved going to auctions and trying to find a good deal.
Keith had a natural talent for creating beautiful things with his own hands. Over the years he has built many beautiful structures, most recently the wonderful playhouse he built for his grandchildren in his backyard. He was constantly working on home improvement projects and always thinking about what his next project would be.
In later years, his greatest passion was his grandchildren and his pets. He loved them dearly. He will be greatly missed by all of us close to him.
Keith is survived by his wife Jill of Creston; children, Michelle Clark of Afton, Dusty (Rhea) Mullin of Creston and Lacy (Erik) Sheil of Kellerton; grandchildren, Brian, Casey, Carley, Candace, Layla and Grant; brother Jack (Joyce) Clark of Creston; sisters-in-law, Patty Clark of Cache, Okla., Janet (Denny) Smith of Afton and Lisa (Terry) Smith of Afton; along with other extended relatives and a host of friends.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Otis Clark, Danny (Alvena) Clark and Dale Clark; and sister Lucille (Jack) Shields; mother and father-in-law Sandy and Shirley Arnold and brother-in-law Jimmie Arnold.
