Kristin Marie Purdy, daughter of John Olin Cloepfil and Jodel Marie (Blair) Cloepfil, was born on Aug. 18, 1977, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She graduated from Savannah High School in Missouri and furthered her education obtaining her Licensed Practical Nurse certificate from Hilliard Vocational School in St. Joseph. For a short time, Kristin worked as a LPN.

On Aug. 23, 2008, Kristin was united in marriage to Chad Joseph Purdy in St. Joseph, Mo. They moved to Creston in 2009 where Kristin managed Supreme Cleaners. During her years at the cleaners, she operated with great customer service and would strike up conversations with all that she met. Kristin’s beautiful smile, caring spirit and generous heart could be felt by anyone she came in contact with. She had a special gift of not only seeing the good in people but bringing out the best in them as well. Kristin was an avid lover of the outdoors and fishing with her husband.

May her short life here be one that advanced her soul so the next life is simple and full of bliss. Kristin loved fiercely and deeply and we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace surrounded by light.

Kristin is survived by her husband Chad of Creston; children, Kaitlyn Cloepfil (Kasey Kinkade) of Creston, Connor Shoemaker of Creston and Jonas Roach (MaKenzie Beautte) of Moberly, Missouri; granddaughter Vela Kinkade; mother, Jodel (Jim) Rosenberg of Jefferson City, Missouri.; brother, Joshua (Ashley) Cloepfil of Jefferson City, Missouri.; step-brothers, Jay Rosenberg of Dallas, Texas, and Jeremiah Rosenberg of Jefferson City, Missouri; brothers-in-law, Joshua Purdy of Afton and Jeremy (Katie) Purdy of Bedford; mother-in-law Terry (Kenneth) DeVoe of Bedford; father-in-law Bill (Linda) Purdy of Orient; along with many nieces and nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends.
