Mike Adams, 55, of Lawrence, Kansas, formerly of Creston, died Wednesday, January 5, 2022, in Maryville, Missouri.  A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at the Powers Funeral Home, 601 New York Avenue in Creston.  Rev. Jim Morris will officiate the service.

The service will be live streamed at a link under events at powersfh.com.  Burial will be at a later date at Hopeville Cemetery.  Open visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Powers Funeral Home in Creston.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the future care of Mike’s son Dmitri.  Online condolences may be given at www.powersfh.com

Michael Raymond Adams, son of Raymond “Jack” Nelson Adams and Kathryn Ann (McFee) Adams was born on March 27, 1966, in Creston.  He graduated from Creston High School in 1984. Mike later earned his associate degree in nursing and certificates from Mary Grimes School of Nursing.

In March 2007, Mike married Elizabeth at Lawrence, Kansas.  Together they had a son, Dmitri Michael Adams. They later divorced. Mike was a loving and dedicated RN, father, son, friend and brother. Michael found his work at the trauma center very rewarding and worked at various nursing homes in Kansas.

Mike shared with his heart and created voluminous art and music. He loved sharing his talents and collaborating with his friends.

Mike is survived by his son Dmitri of Lawrence, Kansas; his parents, Jack and Kathryn Adams of Creston; two brothers, Dana Adams of Creston and David (Danielle) Adams of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; sister-in-law Cindy Adams of Creston; nieces and nephews, Noah and Allison Adams of Creston and Lena Adams of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; six cousins, Aaron Harless, Brooke Burgoin, Jo Nauman, Jarita Heidebrink, Rob McFee and Carrie Stevens, many other extended family members and his pets Belle (dog) and Charlotte and Moses (cats).

Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hugh and Esther McFee and Dick and Aletha Adams, his brother, Darin Adams in 2021, aunts, Karen Miller, Mary Sevier and Ellen ‘Aunt Pete’ Von Stein, uncles Robert (Carol) McFee, John McFee and Bill Adams.
