Cinda Trost

Memorial Celebration of Life services for Cinda Trost, age 70, of Lenox, who passed away Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, in Des Moines, will be 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, at the Lenox Community Center. Visitation with the family greeting friends will follow the service.

Cinda “Cindy” Lou (Brott) Trost was born Feb. 21, 1951, in Creston, the daughter of Lowell Brott and Vaunceil (Beck) Brott. She grew up attending school in Clearfield, graduating with the Class of 1969. She was united in marriage to Randall Trost in 1968, on Ground Hog Day, at the Little Brown Church. To this loving union two children were born; a daughter, Victoria and a son, Scot.

Cindy was a very talented, artistic woman, who enjoyed many adventures in life. She enjoyed camping, on-line shopping or in person shopping, motorcycle and snowmobile riding and crafting. She operated the Main Street Screens business in Lenox for many years.

Cindy farmed along with her family and was the best combine operator of them all! Over the years, she enjoyed her card clubs and being with her friends and neighbors. She was a wonderful cook and loved going south for the winters. She was very active with the development of the Lenox Golf Course, even mowing for many years. She organized the Randy Dandy Golf Tournament, which was held for over 14 years! She was active in the Lenox Chamber and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Family was everything to Cindy, she loved her grandchildren, loved spending time entertaining them and was always able to view things “outside the box.” She possessed the ability to be a great listener, always doling out her advice on about anything from life ... to... decorating! She was very handy and could assemble just about anything, given a few tools.

Left to cherish the memories of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend is her loving husband of 53 years, Randall Trost of Lenox; her daughter, Tori Brown and husband Darrell Jr. of Lenox; her son, Scot Trost and wife Nicki of Lenox; four grandchildren: Hannah and Sophie Brown and Samantha and Thomas Trost; her mother, Vaunceil Brott of Clearfield; two sisters, Susan Ryan and husband Bob of Lenox and Denise Robinson and husband Dick of Lenox; along with a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Preceding Cindy in death is her father, Lowell Brott; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

We will forever hold the memory of Cindy in our hearts.

May she be at peace in God’s loving care.
