Robert Greever

Robert “Rob” Greever, 50, of Greenfield, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield.

Robert Lee Greever was born October 8, 1971, at the Montgomery County Hospital in Red Oak, Iowa. He was the first born son of Stephen and Alice (Anderson) Greever. He attended Red Oak Schools and was a member of the class of 1990.

Rob met Janice Hutchins in 2005 online through eharmony.com. On February 23, 2009, they married at The Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, NV.

Rob was an owner/operator Truck Driver for many years. Following in his grandfather, father, and uncle’s footsteps. Rob enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles with his wife Janice. Rob’s favorite past times included league bowling, KC Royals baseball, and RV camping. Camping with family and friends was his favorite past ime. The Annual Iowa State Fair camping is a long time Greever family tradition.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Alice Greever; his grandparents, Merlin and Effa Anderson, Glen and Pat Greever; and his uncle, Chuck Greever.

He is survived by his wife, Janice; brothers, Richard Greever (his companion, Jamie of Essex), Reggie Greever (wife Candace) of Stewartsville, MO; his sister, Renee Davison (husband Chad of Bedford); nephews, Bradley Davison and Brentley Davison; his nieces, Brooklyn Davison of Bedford and Zoe Greever of Clarinda; father- and mother-in-law, Ron and Pat Hutchins of Stuart.

Celebration of Life services were held on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield. Pastor Melinda Stonebraker officiated the service.
