Frank Devereaux, 56, of Riverside, formally of Atlantic, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
Frank Wayne Devereaux was born July 16, 1965, the son of George and Darlene (Eilenstine) Devereaux in Atlantic. Frank was a 1983 graduate of Atlantic High School. He worked as a cook at Van Chat and Chew for ten years and then worked at various casinos until 2019, when he moved to Riverside and worked at the Riverside Casino.
Frank’s favorite sports were baseball and football. His favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Steelers and Iowa State Cyclones.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Dorthy Devereaux, Floyd and Esther Elienstine; father, George Devereaux; and half-sister, Cheryl Devereaux.
He is survived by his mother, Darlene Devereaux of Massena; two brothers, Floyd Devereaux of Massena and George (Matthew) Devereaux; wife Judith of Huxley; other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, at Steen Funeral Home in Massena, with burial in Massena Center Cemetery. Pastor Dean McPherson will officiate.
