Angelene J. Stream, 48, of West Des Moines, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
Per Angie’s request, private memorial graveside services will be held. Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Mayo Clinic Research for Type 2 Diabetes. Memories may be shared with the family at www.ritchiefuneralhome.com under Obituaries. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ritchie Funeral Home of Bedford.
Angie was born Sept. 20, 1972, in Creston to David and Patricia (Sychra) Stream of Creston. Angie was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Creston.
Angie spent her life in Creston until 1979, when her family moved to Lenox. She attended Lenox schools from first grade until she graduated with the class of 1991. She attended Spencer School of Business in Spencer to get her associate’s degree in air travel accounting. She worked at the Spencer Airport for a few years. She wanted to be closer than four hours to Lenox. She worked at ITA (International Travel Associates) in West Des Moines for 20 years.
Growing up, Angie enjoyed riding her bike, swimming and being outside at Grandma and Grandpa Sychra’s farm. She loved having pet cats over the years. Angie was a life long reader as she loved reading. Her father made sure she knew how to do some of her own maintenance on her home and car. She had her own set of tools. She learned how to check oil and how to change a tire. A few years ago she replaced a headlight on her car! She loved spending time with her niece Palen and nephew Dawson, as she would take them special places around Des Moines.
Left to cherish Angie’s memory are her mother, Pat, of Lenox; her brothers: Brett of Lenox, and Aric (Angie K.), children Palen and Dawson of Bedford; aunts April Stream of Oregon, Cloa Faulkner of Nebraska, Cindy Isdahl, and Linda Stream of Creston; uncles Dick (Sharon) Stream of Afton, Doug (Deb) Stream of Texas, Bob (Marcia) Sychra of Illinois, Don (Debbie) Sychra of Georgia; aunt Judy (Chris) Bailey of Newton; and many cousins.
Preceding Angie in death were her father, David (Curly) Stream; both sets of grandparents; her uncles Ormas Stream, Richard Faulkner, and Lloyd Isdahl.
We will forever hold the precious memory of Angie in our hearts.
