Beth Blazek, 90, of Osceola, died Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola. Graveside Celebration of Life memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday Aug. 29, 2021, at Prairie Lawn Cemetery north of Creston near Spaulding. Pastor Delores Doench will officiate.

Beth Joanne Blazek was born Jan. 27, 1931, in rural Union County, to John J. Foley and Beulah (Storrs) Foley. She attended school in Cromwell and graduated from Cromwell High School in 1948.
Beth was united in marriage to Clifford Dale Blazek Nov. 14, 1948, in Creston. They lived on a farm near Nevinville and Beth worked as a telephone operator. She later worked as an office assistant for different insurance agencies and at Crossroads. They moved to Mesa, Ariz., in 1998, where they resided for 15 years and returned to the Creston area in 2013 before later moving to Osceola.
Beth was a member of the Cromwell Congregational United Church of Christ, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Eagles lodge of Osceola.
Survivors include her three daughters: Vickie (Dannie) Stephens of Creston, Barb (Dave) Murtha of West Des Moines, Linda (Steve) Marley of Creston; one son, Steven (Tammy) Blazek of Adel; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cliff Blazek in 2018; two brothers, two sisters and her grandson, Beau Marley.
