Bill Hunt, 78, of Blockton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at his home. Open viewing will be noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, with family present 4 to 6 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home.

Graveside services and burial with military honors will be held at a later date at the Redding Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Sand’s Timber of Blockton or the Redding Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at armstrongfh.com.

Larry Wayne “Bill” Hunt was born Oct. 28, 1942, to Elizabeth Adeline (Thompson) and John Sanford Hunt in rural Worth County, Missouri. Bill graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1961.

Bill joined the U.S. Army and served from 1964 to 1967. Bill was united in marriage to Patricia Lynn Jeanes Aug. 1, 1964, at the United Methodist Church in Redding. He also worked for Taygold Co-op in Clearfield hauling propane and farm fuel. Bill loved hunting, tractor pulling, fishing and barbecued chicken.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth Hunt; parents-in-law J. Lloyd and Alta Jeanes; brother James Hunt; brothers-in-law Royce Rinehart, Bobby (Fern) Jeanes and George Saville.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia; three children: Tracy (Stacy) Seely, Jay Hunt and Brian (Kristi) Hunt; two grandchildren Hailey and Lily Hunt; sisters Susie Rinehart and Sally (Mike) Hansen; sisters-in-law Susan Hunt and Dorothy Saville; brother-in-law Charles (Vickie) Jeanes; many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
