Creston Community School District Superintendent Deron Stender announced Friday the school district was informed by PowerSchool, the student information system provider, of a potential data breach. While PowerSchool believes the data from the Creston District was not compromised, they are continuing to investigate the situation throughly to determine the full impact.
If the school district receives notice indicating the system has been affected, notifications will be promptly made Stender said.
