County recycling bins relocated

Recycling bins have been placed at Prairie Solid Waste landfill located at 1774 Lark Ave. east of Creston.

Signs at the former recycling bin sites in Afton and Creston will be posted stating the bins’ new location. The county may fine people convicted of illegal dumping. The bins are only accessible during normal landfill hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturdays.

Recycling bins were consolidated into one location as a cost-saving measure for the county. The action has no impact on recycling bins provided for the city of Creston and its residents.
