Comedian Chris Schlichting will be performing in February at the annual Creston Parks and Recreation comedy night fundraiser.
Scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 8 at the Eagles Club, Schlichting will perform after service of a prime rib dinner and an auction. Tickets are $40 a person, or $420 for a sponsored table of eight.
An Iowa native, Schlichting was recommended by last year’s act, Dante Powell, who lives in Creston. According to his website, Schlichting’s act “covers hard hitting issues like squirrels, sandwiches and his twin boys. Learn how to pronounce this comic’s last name and then remember it forever. Chris Schlichting is sure to leave you laughing and wanting more.”
The park board is still looking for items or baskets to auction off. Contact board members or Director Rusty Zimmerman to donate. Tickets are not for sale yet.
