The Creston Street Department announces Elm Street, between Irving and Swan streets, will be closed to all traffic beginning Tuesday, Sept. 10, for street reconstruction.
The curb and gutter of Elm Street will be replaced at a higher elevation of approximately 3 inches. Once they have been replaced, the street will be resurfaced with new asphalt. This is to help with storm water overtopping the curbs.
There will be no access to driveways in this area. Residents are asked to legally park at either end of the project.
Residents who have trash and recycling pickup on Elm Street are asked to take the trash and recycling cans to the closest end of the project for pickup.
Completion of the project is estimated to be 30 days but is dependent on weather conditions.
