Greater Regional Health board of directors incumbents Julie Lanning and Sherry McKie are running for re-election, as candidate names for certain elections Nov. 5 were released by the Union County Auditor’s office after the Wednesday deadline.
They are the only candidates for the two seats. Greater Regional is researching the future of the number of board members as it has had a vacancy since December 2022. The board has seven seats.
Union County Extension has nine board members with four terms expiring this year; Randy Wuebker, Callie Anderson, Jean Weisshaar and Ronda Driskill. Five people are needed. Another person is needed to fill a vacancy created by Allyson Lacina.
The candidates are April Evans, Wuebker, Nicole Shawley, Chad Ide and Anderson. Lacina is the only candidate to fill the vacancy.
Soil and water conservation has three terms expiring; Michael Eblen, Luke Baker and Daniel Waigand. Eblen is the only candidate.
Pleasant Township trustee candidates are incumbents Jeff Rice and Vernon Kelley. Two seats are on the ballot.
