With four weights remaining and a six-point lead in the final dual of the night against Lewis Central, Creston/Orient-Macksburg wrestling needed a leader to step up. Coming into Saturday’s matchup between 2A top-ranked Nodaway Valley and Class 3A No. 9 ranked Creston, Wolverine head coach Darrell Burmiester said the two players he was most worried about were Luke Neitzel and Colby Taylor. But it was a pair of Panther senior reserves who came up with arguably two of the biggest plays in the 59-49 win in front of a capacity crowd.

However, Creston owns the head-to-head tiebreaker over Glenwood.
