Annual tractor ride Saturday

The 9th annual KSIB Radio Tractor ride begins at 8 a.m. Saturday as about 200 tractors are anticipated for this year’s ride.

The number of participants are expected to cause some traffic delays as they ride through Creston and along their route to Clearfield and back.

Check-in begins at 6 a.m. at the Restored Depot in Uptown Creston. Tractor riders will have breakfast and line up on Adams Street starting at Elm and go toward Walnut. That may cause traffic delays on Maple and Pine streets as tractors will probably line up on those streets.

Tractors will depart in two shifts 15 to 20 minutes. Tractors will head west on Adams Street to Cottonwood. At Cottonwood, the tractors will turn north. They will drive through the Creston Care Specialty Care parking lot for the residents and continue northbound to the intersection of Cottonwood and Highway 25.

Tractors will go west to leave town. Tractors will go north and continue on Highway 25 to County Road H-24/150th Street. Tractors will go west on 150th/H24 to Quince Avenue. At Quince, drivers will turn south to Prescott where the tractors will be on Main Street at the Kline Museum.

The first break is in Prescott. Tractors will park on Main and riders will visit the Kline Museum. Afterward, the tractors will go to Quince Ave/County Road H33 south to U.S. Highway 34. At Highway 34, the tractors will head east to Sycamore Avenue/Old Highway 49. Tractors will turn south toward Lenox. The tractors will then stop at Agrivision in Lenox for lunch.

After lunch, the tractors will go south on Tennessee Avenue/Old Highway 49/ County Road N 64 to County Road J23. At J23/170th, the tractors will turn east toward Clearfield for the late break. Tractors will park on Main Street and tour the Clearfield Museum and Clearfield Lions Club.

After the afternoon break, the tractors will go north on Highway 25 to County Road J23. At J23, the tractors will go east on County Road J23 to County Road P27/High and Dry Road where they turn north to Creston.
