Creston Community School District Superintendent Deron Stender announced Tuesday Lesa Downing will be the next principal at the middle school.
“I am pleased to announce that Lesa Downing has been offered the position as the next middle school principal. I am confident she will be a strong advocate for children and staff and will progressively lead the middle school and our teams forward. She will work with Mr. Baker, staff, and administration as she transitions to her new role that officially begins on July 1, 2022. I am confident she will continue the tradition of excellence and Creston Cares.”
She will replace Brad Baker who resigned earlier this year.
“The middle school principal advisory committee and administration interviewed two (Lisa Downing & Casey Tanner) very highly qualified leaders who are passionate about supporting children, working with staff, guiding the district, and having a presence in the community,” Stender stated in a release.
