Spay-ghetti Supper (Feb. 25)

The Creston Animal Rescue Effort (CARE) will hold its annual Spay-ghetti Supper fundraiser 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Eagles.

Panther Tailgate Competition (Feb. 26)

The Creston Booster Club will be holding their Panther Tailgate Competition at the Elks Lodge in Creston on Feb. 26. Please visit their Facebook Page for details.

St. Malachy School Auction (March 5)

An evening supporting St. Malachy School. Cocktail hour starts at 5:30 p.m. followed by a prime rib or chicken tortellini dinner at 6 p.m. Live online auction at 7 p.m. at Crestmoor. Those participating in the online watch party may order at home to-go meals. Tickets will only be available for purchase online: https://hsse.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/1151275. Newspaper basket weaving (March 5)

Creston Arts is hosting a Newspaper Basket Weaving workshop 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 5 at the art center. Registration is now open on our website or by phone! Cost is $30 including lunch. Limit of 10 people for this class.

Ancestry workshop (March 5)

Theresa McCormick Liewer of Ankeny will present “Effective Research with Ancestry” noon to 3 p.m. March 5 in the Genealogy Room at Gibson Memorial Library. The program, open to the public, will also be made available via Zoom. To register, visit https://unioncgs.org.

SW Iowa Ag Summit (March 8)

SW Iowa Women in Ag is hosting an Ag Summit 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 8 at Deer Ridge at Lexington for farmers and those in the farming community. CCHS Spring Choir Concert is 7 p.m. at Creston Community High School.

Drive-up and Dine-In fish meal (March 11)

Knights of Columbus is offering a Drive-Up and Dine-In fish meal 5 to 7 p.m. March 11 and April 1 at St. Malachy School. Drive up will be on the east side of the school, 403 W. Adams St. Meal includes Fried fish, coleslaw, baked potato and dessert. Cost is $10 adult and $6 for 12 and under.

The Annual Jack Keuter Memorial Pancake Jamboree will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 5 at United Methodist Church 400 N. Elm St. Tickets are $7 bought in advance from members or $8 at the door. Children $4 at the door.
