A Creston firefighter adjusts a water hose while putting out the flames at 206 S. Chestnut Thursday. Creston Fire Department responded at about 10:15 a.m. The resident of the house was able to escape without injury. The cause is suspected to be related to a wood-burning stove. Damage to the house was estimated at $20,000.
