Creston emergency services respond to a two-car crash with multiple injuries at about 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 30. According to a Creston Police Department report Alexandria Whitfield, 18, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Impala eastbound on West Taylor Street in the outside lane. Kayla Harris, 33, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe west on West Taylor Street in the inside lane. Harris attempted to turn south onto Abell Street. Whitfield struck Harris. Whitfield and a passenger, Aundreah Whitfield, 13, were transported to Greater Regional Medical Center. Harris and passengers Madysen Ford, 13, Keyona Robb, 12, and Oliva Robb, 13, were also transported to Greater Regional Health Center. Each vehicle had damage estimated at $10,000. A brick structure at Iowa State Savings Bank sustained an estimated $500 damage. A street sign was also damaged at an estimated $100. Whitfield was cited with having an expired license and possession of controlled substance. Harris was charged with failure to yield upon turn. Creston Fire Department assisted.
