Stuart Kwik Star opens to happy customers

Happy customers fill the parking lot at the Kwik Star store on the south side of Stuart late morning Thursday, Oct. 10, which was the store's opening day. The store is on the east side of Stuart Road on the south side of Interstate 80.

The new Kwik Star store on the south side of Stuart opened to happy customers Thursday, Oct. 10, bright and early at 5 a.m.

The new store is another addition to the growth seen in Stuart, both along the interstate and with new housing developments and revitalization in the community’s downtown.

The Kwik Star is located on the southeast corner of the Interstate 80 interchange on the south side of the community along Stuart Road. A ribbon cutting will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23.

“We are thrilled to be done with construction and have the store open so our guests can use it. It is always a nice feeling to get a store ready, have our opening date, and have the excitement mount from the community,” said Ben Leibl with Kwik Star public relations. “We hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do.”

Leibl commented that goals for each Kwik Star are consistent with company goals. They want to provide great guest service with clean stores and restrooms for guests to use.

“The friendly service customers receive is part of our culture at Kwik Star,” Leibl said. “We want to take care of people and make sure they have a great experience when they are in our stores.”

Stuart’s Kwik Star has the same ammenities that other stores within the company do, however it is a truck stop, so there is also a trucker lounge area. Leibl said the store is a newer version of other stores with modern features.

“We were able to hire folks from the local community, and that is something we always strive to do,” Leibl said, adding that any remaining job opportunities for the store would be listed at www.kwiktrip.com. “Kwik Star is very excited to be in Stuart. We have seen success in communities that are similar to Stuart and we are thankful for the partnership that we have with this community. They’ve been very welcoming and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.”
