Priscilla Ann (Sticken) Jensen was born July 23, 1935, to Gerhardt Sticken and Daisy (Oshel) Sticken on a farm in Adams County. She graduated from Cromwell High School in 1953. After graduating, she attended Americana School of Beauty and lived at the YWCA in downtown Des Moines. After graduating beauty school she worked in Atlantic for a short time. On March 20, 1955, she was united in marriage to Arnold Jensen. Three children were born to this union: Cynthia Sue, Kenneth Alan and Randall Rex.

Priscilla worked hard on the farm milking cows, raising chickens and gardening. The apple tree on the farm made the best apple pies, which she was famous for. She was an excellent cook and there wasn’t anything she couldn’t make. You never went away hungry.

After retiring from farming Priscilla worked at Bunn and Eaton and Crooks Clothing, where she altered anything you could imagine. She loved to sew and made her granddaughters lots of beautiful dresses. Priscilla took up quilting and made sure all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren had quilts to remember her by. She spent many hours and great pride in her flower gardens.

Priscilla always put everyone else first. Her greatest joy was helping others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law; brothers, Don and Jimmie; two sisters-in-law and a grandson.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Arnold; daughter, Cindy (Roger) Anderson; sons, Kenny (Pam) and Randy (Lori); eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald Sticken; sister, Phyllis (Max) Feick; brother-in-law, Jimmy (Marilyn) Jensen and numerous nieces and nephews.
