Mrs. Jacobsen was born July 18, 1949, to Charles and Lois (Ford) Ahnen. She was raised in Bridgewater on her family farm along with her sister and best friend, Linda Koch. She graduated high school from Bridgewater-Fontanelle and later attended AIB College of Business in Des Moines where she earned her degree.
After working in Des Moines she returned to Fontanelle where she met her loving husband Jake. The two were married for 52 years and raised two daughters, Staci and Jami. Bonnie spent much of her life as a receptionist in the medical field, brightening patient’s and her coworker’s days. Upon her return to the area, she worked for Schildberg Inc. and then began her work with patients with Dr. Frankl in Fontanelle, Dr. Hanson in Greenfield and eventually retired with Adair County Medical Clinic.
Bonnie enjoyed spending her time with Jake, visiting and shopping with her girlfriends, talking to her sister everyday and taking care of the people she loved. Family was the foundation of Bonnie’s life. She adored supporting her children, and later her four grandchildren, in their education and activities. She loved attending their sporting events, academic ceremonies and any event where she could show her pride and love for them.
Mrs. Jacobsen is survived by her husband, Gene “Jake” Jacobsen of Greenfield; two daughters: Staci (David) Eastman of Altoona and Jami (David) Shike of Greenfield; four grandchildren: Cole, Jenna, Lexi and Jacob; sister, Linda Koch (Ernie Ferderer) of Phoenix, Arizona; other relatives and friends.
