Adair County Health System gives WOW Award

Adair County Health System (ACHS) announced the 2022 WOW! Award winner and nominees during a special program recently.

Kelly Berkland, Facilities Technician, received the prestigious WOW! Award, which recognizes employees who made exceptional contributions to the organization and the patients they serve.

The WOW! Award is designed to honor and celebrate employees who consistently exceeded expectations in the previous year, going above and beyond in areas including performance, service and teamwork.

“I’m honored to announce our 2022 WOW! Award Winner, Kelly Berkland,” expressed Catherine Hillestad, CEO of ACHS. “Kelly received multiple nominations. He is always willing to help co-workers, he has helped fix another employee’s car, smoked meat for employee events and is ALWAYS willing to give a helping hand. He goes above and beyond his call of job duties. Kelly steps up into many roles at ACHS from maintenance, Service Excellence Advisor, to helping as a backup driver in EMS. Kelly participates in ACHS activities across the board. Kelly gives 110% and shows ownership in everything he is involved with. To Kelly if it’s worth doing, it will be done to the best of his abilities or not at all.

“This year we received 18 nominations! This is incredible and demonstrates that we have the best employees in the industry, working hard to care for our patients. This number of nominations also shows our staff at ACHS support and care about each other. You see each other and you value each other,” said Hillestad.
