Adair County making plans for when it enters next tier of vaccine rollout

GREENFIELD — Adair County Public Health is continuing to administer COVID-19 vaccine to individuals in the county who meet eligibility requirements in Phase 1B-Tier 1.

New regulations require counties must use 80% of their allotted vaccine within a week of receipt to obtain future allocations. Adair County has met this goal and was notified it will continue to receive 100 doses per week through February.

Individuals who meet the eligibility criteria and are interested in receiving the vaccine should contact Adair County Public Health to be placed on the notification list. Those individuals will be notified when more doses are available and they can schedule an appointment.

Adair County Public Health has just begun planning for the next tier, which will begin following the completion of Tier 1. With an allocation of only 100 doses a week, it will take time to administer vaccine to all eligible individuals in Tiers 1 and 2.
