The COVID-19 vaccine supply continued to be extremely limited in Adair County this week as Adair County Health System announced its move into Phase 1B-Tier 1.
For the week of Feb. 1 - Feb. 5, Adair County was allocated only 100 doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. These few appointments filled quickly in the first two days of availability, as numerous Adair County residents met the latest eligibility requirements outlined below.

Those on the notification list will be notified as additional doses become available in the upcoming weeks.
Please note: as supply increases in Adair County, Adair County Health System will increase the number of appointments scheduled each week.
Public Health thanks the general public for their continued patience and partnership as they work to administer the vaccine in Adair County.
Current vaccination eligibility criteria include:
• Individuals 65 years and older
• First responders (firefighters, police officers, and dependent adult abuse and child welfare social workers)
• PK-12 school staff, early childhood education, and childcare workers
• Healthcare workers Long-term care residents
Note: First responders and school staff should check with their administration regarding upcoming on-site clinics before calling to schedule an appointment.
A Wednesday morning COVID-19 update from Adair County Health System showed 707 positive cases of the virus to date in Adair County with 617 cases recovered. There have been 24 deaths. The 14-day positivity rate is 6.5%. While many of these statistics are trending downward, Public Health still requests the public’s cooperation in trying to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
“Keep masking, social distancing and staying home when you are sick,” a Facebook post from Adair County Health System said. “We will get through this.”
