Correction

In a story in the Creston News Advertiser on Oct. 27 titled, “Flu clinic to come, high-dose vaccine delayed,” Greater Regional Health’s Chief Ancillary Officer Gwen Buck had said, “We have been out of the high-dose, even all of Creston there are places, Hy-Vee and so on, have been out of that,” as the board of trustees discussed local delays on the high-dose influenza vaccines at their Oct. meeting Monday.

Hy-Vee Store Manager Chad Johnson said that the Creston store has not at anytime this year run short on their high-dose flu vaccinations. Hy-Vee Pharmacist Jim Ide added that everyone over the age of 65 who received an influenza vaccination at the Hy-Vee pharmacy this year did indeed receive the high-dose vaccine.

“We have not had any supply issues yet, but they are calling for a lot of increase in demand this year,” Ide clarified. “ ... Unless something changes drastically, I don’t anticipate any big shortages anytime in the near future.”
