Kenneth Stroup

Kenneth Eugene Stroup, 58, of Winterset, passed from this life Saturday, July 18, 2020, at the home of his sister.

Kenny was the son of Bernard Lee Stroup and Helen Arlene (Peterson). He lived in Creston, Red Oak and Osceola prior to moving in with his sister three weeks ago due to health reasons. Kenny was a hard worker and loving family man. He was currently employed at Osceola Hormel Foods.

Kenny enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed farming and chasing his boys around the farm teaching them to do things right. Kenny was always friendly and enjoyed visiting with friends. He enjoyed fishing and collecting Indian artifacts.

Those relatives who preceded Kenny in death were his parents Bernard and Helen Stroup and brother, John Kevin Stroup.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Sunshine Bartlett of North Carolina; son, Travis (Linda) Stroup of Creston; daughter, Sasha (Ben) Campbell of Texas; son, Jared (Mariah) Coverdell of Allerton; sister, Kathy (Lee) Wilkins of Murray; sister, Karen Priest of Creston; several grandchildren, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. Cremation will follow the visitation.

The family and funeral home asks that anyone in attendance at the visitation please follow social distancing guidelines. The use of face coverings are required.

Memorial contributions may be directed to his family for a tribute to be decided later.
