Dragoon Trace Nature Center girls only ‘youth lock-in’ (July 24)
Ringgold County Conservation is hosting a girls-only “youth lock-in” at Dragoon Nature Center, 5 p.m. July 24 to 7:30 a.m. July 25. This is for girls aged 11 to 15 years old. This program is free and sponsored by AmeriCorps.
Multiple activities are offered including fishing/pond study, geocaching, water games, art and nature craft, movie/popcorn fun and more. Participants should bring their own sleeping bags and pillows, bedtime clothing and other personal items. Food will be provided for Friday supper and Saturday breakfast along with snacks. Please notify us of any food requirements or allergies during registration.
Register with Ringgold County Conservation at 641-464-2787 or Ringgoldccb@ringgoldcounty.us by 4 p.m. July 23. There must be a minimum of five participants for the event to go ahead. Legal guardians must sign a release form when dropping off students.
Front Porch Fridays (July 24)
Hometown Insurance and Realty is hosting a free hot dog lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on its east porch. Hot dog lunch complete with a bag of chips and a water. Come and go as you please. It is requested that social distancing guidelines be followed.
