David “Moose” Cundiff, 74, of Creston, died Sunday, June 28, 2020, at his home in Creston. Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2020, at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Pastor Mary O’Riley will officiate. Family requests casual dress. Visitation with family receiving friends will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Friday, July 3, 2020, at Powers Funeral Home. David Leland Cundiff, son of Leland Mayo Cundiff and Lila Ruth (Lewis) Cundiff was born Feb. 18, 1946, in Kirksville, Missouri. David graduated from Creston High School in 1964 where he was active in F.F.A.
David lived most of his life in the Creston area. David began driving trucks and hauling gravel. He drove trucks for several different companies for the next 42 years, winning many awards during his career, before his health required him to retire. In his spare time he enjoyed riding motorcycles and was also past president of ABATE of Iowa.
David is survived by his sister Kathy (Earl) Hall of Creston; nephews Randy Hall and Mark Hall both of Creston; niece Carla Ott of Creston; many great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Charles Cundiff.
