Jesse Lowenberg, 44, of Afton died Saturday, June 20, 2020, at Greater Regional Health in Creston. Celebration of life memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Jim Maeder (Jesse's cousin) will officiate the service. Open visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Social distancing will be encouraged. Jesse Jacob Lowenberg, son of Max Gail Lowenberg and Patty Linn (Wyatt) Lowenberg, was born Jan. 11, 1976, in Creston. Jesse was educated in the East Union School graduating with the class of 1994. He furthered his education attending classes at Southwestern Community College in Creston. During his time in school, he was acquainted with Carla Britton. The long-time friends became a couple in 2014.
Jesse began his career with UPS following his high school graduation. He worked in many of the departments with UPS and had his own delivery route. Jesse had a great work ethic and was incredibly talented with many skills. When it came to contract work, his talents ranged from construction to finish. He bought his grandmothers’ home in Afton and had remodeled it to his liking.
Jesse is survived by his significant other Carla Britton of Afton and her daughter Kimberly of Polk City; parents Max and Pat Lowenberg of Afton; dog Toby and many cousins, aunts, uncles and other loving extended relatives.
Jesse was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Olin and Clora Delle Wyatt, paternal grandparents Vincen and Louese Lowenberg, special cousin Patrick Lowenberg, Carla’s daughter Danna Rains and other aunts and uncles.
