Adair County Sheriff

David Clayton, 40, of Greenfield, was charged with second-offense operating while intoxicated and child endangerment with no injury 6 p.m. April 19 at Old Greenfield Lake in Greenfield.

According to an Iowa State Patrol report, officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at the lake. Clayton was identified as the driver of the car and had two juveniles and an 18-year-old in the car at the time of the accident. Officers noted Clayton's bloodshot eyes and breath that smelled of alcoholic beverage. Clayton consented to and failed field sobriety tests, and submitted a breath sample on the Data Master, resulting in a blood-alcohol content level of .199.

Clayton was cited and released from the Adair County Jail on his promise to appear.

David Dukes, 55, of Dexter, was charged with violation of no-contact order and first-offense operating while intoxicated 10:02 p.m. April 19 at 3153 190th Street in Stuart.

According to an Adair County Sheriff's report,a juvenile female reported that Dukes was violating a protection order at the residence. Dukes claimed he had stopped by the house to check on the water heater and on a pickup truck parked nearby. The victim said Dukes entered the house and moved about multiple rooms. The protected party stated that he had been allowed there in the morning to work on a water heater, but not allowed back after that. While conducting the investigation, officers noted the smell of alcohol coming from Duke's breath and found open containers of alcohol in Dukes' vehicle. Dukes consented to a Data Master test, yielding a blood-alcohol content level of .134.

Dukes was being held in the Adair County Jail on $1,000 bond.

Bukjiok Dobuony, 27, of Lincoln, was charged on a Sarpy County, Nebraska warrant for failure to appear 11:04 p.m. April 20 in Adair County.

Dobuony was being held in the Adair County Jail on behalf of Sarpy County. Sarpy County later declined to pick him up, and he was released.
