Richard Grace

Richard Ray Grace died March 6, 2020, at his home in Diagonal from a massive heart attack at age 55.

Richard was born April 4, 1964, in Creston. Rick met Pamela Seals and they were joined in marriage July 19, 1986, in Sharpsburg. In 1993, they moved to Diagonal.

Richard was a contractor and worked in construction for most of his adult life. In 2007 he got his CDL and started truck driving for Danielski LLC until he became disabled.

Rick’s hobbies included pulling in the IAMO truck and tractor pulls, riding motorcycles, going to the races, working on vehicles, spending time with his family and friends and his most favorite was spending time with his three grandchildren.

Rick was preceded in death by his dad Doyle Grace; grandparents Alice and Ray Long; in-laws Mary and Ray Seals; adopted son Ricky Brewer; his brothers: Stoney McKey, Michael Freeman, Scott Mains, Bud Anderson, Terry Tull and Corey Kuenon.

Rick is survived by his wife Pam Grace; children: Melissa Grace, Rodney Grace, Ricky Grace and Samantha Killion; grandchildren: Cayleigh Woollums, Jacob Levy and Michael Ford; three sisters: Katina, Kathy and Karen; brother Kevin; many adopted children; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held 10:30 a.m. at Diagonal Community Center, Saturday, March 14, 2020, with a luncheon to follow. A memorial fund has been established to the family. Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr is assisting the family and online condolences may be left at www.armstrongfh.com.
