The win on the home floor brought out the best in not just the girls on the floor, but the cheering student section, according to SWV head coach Lindsay Wetzel.

Tonight’s win was a total team effort, not just from the seven girls who play, but also from our bench kids and our student body,” said Wetzel. “They were all fired up and came out ready to yell and scream and get the win. Our students were up cheering and yelling during all four sets and that really helps the girls get fired up.”

Despite the win, there’s still things that need to be worked on as the Timberwolves prepare to face Class 1A No. 10 East Mills.

“We have some things that we still need to clean up and refine before Thursday’s match against East Mills, but I think the girls are focused, intense and will be ready to play,” said Wetzel. “Our mentality is one point at a time and staying focused on the moment.”
