Charles F. Poli, 89, of Creston, died Oct.11, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
A public visitation time will be 2:30 to 4 p.m. Oct.16 at the Homestead Assisted Living Center, 1709 W. Prairie St., Creston. Powers Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Online condolences can be given at www.powersfh.com.
Charles F. Poli, son of Violet (Peek) Poli and Fiorelo Poli, was born on June 29, 1930, in Wayne County. Charlie served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Charlie married Mary Y. Winchell Aug. 9, 1958, in Chariton. They first lived in Des Moines, moving to Creston in 1961. Charlie was a carpenter. He worked on additions to houses, remodeling and specialty cabinets.
Survivors include his daughters: Tami Poli of Red Wing, Minnesota, and Toni Poli (John Onstank) of Creston; brother Ray (Myrna) Poli of Chariton; sister Blanche Anderson of Des Moines; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and two sisters.
