Creston's Kylan Smallwood – 2019 South Central Iowa Athlete of the Year finalist

Football

• Four-year varsity letterwinner.

• Accounted for 3,266 total yards of offense over his career (1,576 passing; 1,050 rushing; 640 receiving).

• Scored a total of 36 touchdowns with 19 passing touchdowns, nine receiving touchdowns and eight rushing touchdowns.

• Averaged 6.2 yards per carry over the course of his career and 14.8 yards per reception.

• Recorded 142 1/2 total tackles with nine interceptions in his four years. Also had eight tackles for loss and a fumble recovery.

• Class 3A District 7 first team all-district his junior and senior seasons.

Basketball

• Four-year varsity letterwinner.

• Led the Panthers in scoring average all four years of his varsity career.

• Scored 1,481 career points becoming the second all-time leading scorer in Panther basketball history.

• Had 638 career rebounds, the third most in school history.

• Class 3A second team all-state selection by the IPSWA.

• Four-time Hawkeye 10 all-conference selection, including a unanimous first team all-Hawkeye 10 selection in his senior season.

• Was a two-time all-substate selection.

• Holds a Creston school record in steals in a single game with eight.

• Finished with 447 points in his senior season, the 13th most in a single season in Creston history.

• Had 141 steals over his career, the most in Creston basketball history.

• Committed to play basketball at NAIA Midland University.
