Susie Miller, 77, of Berea, Kentucky, formerly of Creston, died Friday, June 21, 2019, at Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky.
A time of sharing will be 1 p.m. Friday at Rainbow Park in Creston. The Rev. Ken Halbur will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Creston. Open visitation with family present will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the park. Memorials can be made to the family to be determined. Online condolences may be left at www.powersfh.com.
Susie Miller, daughter of Cloyd Olathe Lynam and Velma Cleora (Nash) Lynam, was born Nov. 9, 1941, in Nodaway. Susie was educated at Creston Schools.
On June 17, 1961, Susie married Clyde W. Miller at St. John’s Church. They lived all their married life in Creston. She worked for Kings Café, volunteered in the gift shop at Greater Community Hospital and later worked at Crest Haven Care Centre. Susie retired in 1990. Susie moved to Kentucky in 2018.
Susie was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Creston.
Susie is survived by her son Michael Miller of Creston; daughter Lisa (Chad) Turner of Berea, Kentucky; grandchildren, Skyler (Sammie) Rufenacht and Sonny (Ashley) Rufenacht; great-grandchildren, Isis, Lincoln and Skyler II Rufenacht; and sisters-in-law, Betty and Averil Lynam, both of Creston, and Diana Lynam of Lorimor.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde on Sept. 23, 1998, sister Connie Baker and brothers, Russell, Wayne, Dean and Darwin Lynam.
