Ty Rogers retires from ISSB

Ty Rogers, senior vice president at Iowa State Savings Bank, retired May 24.

Rogers was born and raised in Creston and graduated from Creston High School. From there, he attended Northwest Missouri State and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree.

Rogers spent 36 years in the banking industry. He began his tenure at Iowa State Savings Bank in 2013, with his primary focus on real estate lending. He is very community oriented and volunteers to serve the Creston community.

ISSB President, Kevin Stewart, said Rogers took his leadership role very seriously and will be missed by his customers and coworkers.

“Ty has been a strong leader to our consumer lending team,” Stewart said. “I want to thank him for his years of service and dedication to Iowa State Savings Bank and our customers. We wish him well in retirement.”

Rogers added that it will be difficult to say goodbye.

“If you leave a job and you don’t have some sadness, it probably means you didn’t like it,” Rogers said. “I will be sad leaving ISSB and find it difficult to say goodbye, because it only means that I leave true friends, coworkers and customers alike.”

As retirement nears, Rogers looks forward to spending time at the lake, on the golf course and riding his motorcycle. He will also enjoy spoiling his granddaughter.
