Linda Wyant, 55, of Creston died Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at EveryStep Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston.
Celebration of life services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at Powers Funeral Home, 601 New York Ave., in Creston. The Rev. Delores Doench and the Rev. Bruce Giese will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery south of Creston. Open visitation with family present will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Linda Jean (Erickson) Wyant, daughter of Alvena “Marlene” (Green) Erickson and Charles Victor Erickson, was born May 15, 1964, in Creston. She graduated from Creston High School with the class of 1983 and furthered her education at Hair Tech.
On Sept. 23, 1994, Linda married Jerry Allan Wyant in Osceola. They settled in Osceola, where Linda worked at Heat Tech in Afton and later at Boyt Harness Company. They moved to Creston in 1999, where Linda held various jobs. She began working at McDonald’s as a cook, Gummy Bear, Precision Optical, Walmart in the bakery department, Crest Haven Care Centre as a cook, and most recently, was a cook at Hy-Vee Deli.
Linda was a member of Platte Center Church in rural Creston.
Linda is survived by her husband Jerry; daughter Lillie Wyant of Des Moines; parents, Charles and Marlene Erickson of Kent; brothers, Chuck Erickson of Creston and Rick Erickson of Kent; and sisters, Becky Campbell of Creston, Vicki (Jerry) Jones of Pacific, Missouri, and Kriss Fox of Waverly.
Linda was preceded in death by her grandparents.
