Ringgold County Hospital, CHI Health Mercy Corning announce new pediatrician

MOUNT AYR – The leadership teams at Ringgold County Hospital and CHI Health Mercy Corning announced the hiring of pediatrician Dr. Tabitha Wilson. Wilson will begin seeing patients in late August 2019. She’ll split her time between the Mount Ayr Medical Clinic and CHI Health Clinics in Corning, Lenox and Bedford.

“I’m so excited to be coming home,” said Wilson.

A native of Bedford, she and her family will be moving back to the area in July. Wilson earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and has been in Utah for the past several years.

“I love pediatrics because it allows me to interact with families and get to know the kids over time. Early childhood development is one of my favorite things,” Wilson said. “I also just love kids!”

Ringgold County Hospital CEO Gordon Winkler couldn’t be happier.

“We have an incredible group of medical professionals on staff, and Dr. Wilson really helps round out the team. She brings an expertise in pediatrics that complements our family practitioners,” Lisa Wolfe, president of CHI Health Mercy Corning said. “Having Dr. Wilson in our clinics every week allows us to provide even higher quality care for our families. With Dr. Wilson on staff, parents and children won’t have to travel to see a pediatric specialist.”

Parents wishing to pre-schedule August appointments with Wilson can call the Mount Ayr Medical Clinic at 641-464-4470 or CHI Health Clinics at 641-322-5245.
